MADAME TUSSAUDS SAN FRANCISCO UNVEILS WAX FIGURE OF ACTRESS LAVERNE COX

image003 (10)Madame Tussauds San Francisco alongside Laverne Cox unveiled her wax double today restyled as Dr. Frank-N Furter from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do The Time Warp Again”. The reimagined Dr. Frank-N-Furter is styled in the authentic costume Laverne wore during filming of the cult classic, which premieres Oct. 20 on FOX.

The two-hour event features a star studded cast including Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan, Adam Lambert, Staz Nair, Reeve Carney, Annaleigh Ashford, Christina Milian, Ivy Levan, Ben Vereen and Tim Curry, the original Frank-N-Furter, as the show’s narrator.

On June 26, 2015 Madame Tussauds San Francisco made history when they welcomed Laverne Cox to pull the curtain back on her wax figure. The wax replica of Ms. Cox represents the first transgender figure ever created in the more than 200-year history of Madame Tussauds. Ms. Cox’s figure was previously styled in the dress she wore on the cover of TIME Magazine in 2014.
